Services

Worship services at Our Saviour

We celebrate Holy Eucharist at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, and read Evening Prayer on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. A Healing Eucharist is offered on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.

About us and the way we worship

Episcopal comes from a Greek word meaning "bishop" or "overseer" and refers to the fact that our church is under the authority of the Bishop of Lexington, the Right Reverend Stacy F. Sauls.

Eucharist means "to give thanks."

Liturgy means "the work of the people."

Each Sunday we gather together to hear the Word of God (Liturgy of the Word), and then to respond to the Good News by offering our thanks and praise to God in the sacrament of Holy Communion (Liturgy of the Table—also called The Lord's Supper, The Mass, The Divine Liturgy, or The Great Offering).

The Episcopal Church encourages all Christians to receive Communion.

At each of our services we use texts drawn from the 1979 Book of Common Prayer and other authorized texts. The music we use is from The Hymnal, 1982 and other sources.
